Ecstasy of Gold - Prologue

On a planet under a massive red sun, there lived a warrior race on the planet Akyllis. They were mostly human, but had adapted to the high gravity of their new world. The race’s entire society was geared towards war. Their structures were wide but not tall, structured like ornate heavy bunkers. Their children were trained nearly from birth for combat. Trained especially hard were the children of all of the various tribal leaders.

One of the leader’s daughters was doing pull-ups on one of their less humane devices; a bar over a pit of hot coals that would cause excruciating pain if the person should drop to the ground.

The Necromancer - Ch. 7Lily was in a strange city she had never been in before, a city by the name of Nikolaevna. Alek had dropped her off in the city and given her instructions on where to go and who to find, leaving to find ‘a special gift’ for her. The friend Alek told her to find, Yuri, was supposed to make her ‘more comfortable’ with Lily’s own self. Lily wasn’t sure what Alek meant by that, but she knew she’d find out.
Alek told her he would be back in three days or more, which meant she had to spend at least three days in a stranger’s house. Alek had told her he’d trust Yuri with his life, which didn& The Necromancer - Ch. 7
